If cats could talk, they’d be the first to tell you that they require refined, particular and focused care.An unwell cat poses many unique challenges to the small animal practitioner and the difference between managing canine and feline patients (in both the art and the science of veterinary medicine) is well recognised. This course is designed to reinforce, deepen and broaden your knowledge of feline medicine in a practical, interactive and enjoyable way. In addition, it will provide you with valuable information to make your practice more feline friendly. Cement your knowledge with the case-focused workshop. This course is now delivered over 2 years to enable busy veterinarians to manage the comprehensive content. The Feline Medicine Distance Education course is truly an international course. Depending on your location, once you enrol you will join a cohort of participants in your part of the world. The CVE has partnered with ISFM to provide and promote the Feline Medicine Distance Education course in UK and Europe. The CVE has also partnered with the AAFP to promote this course in the US and Canada. Below are the key dates and information for the 2023-24 Feline Medicine Distance Education intake. This distance education course includes Feline Medicine Workshops which are delivered online. FormatThe 10-module programme is delivered over two years, starting in February 2023. Each new module will commence every two months. Course material consists of expertly written and regularly updated notes, with assignments and supplemental journal reading. There are no formal exams. Instead, individual feedback and advice will be provided by your tutor, following the completion of each module. Email discussion forums will complement the learning experience, as will the online workshop to draw out and consolidate the knowledge you have developed. The course runs from February until November the following year. CPDThis course provides up to 348 CPD points RACE Approved This program 1147-35183 was reviewed and approved by the AAVSB RACE program for 348 hours of continuing education. Participants should be aware that some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education. EnrolRegistrations are done directly via the CVE website. You will need to login to the CVE website to register for this course. If you don’t have an account you can create one at no extra charge. Upon registering, you will be given the option to pay in full or pay a AU$1000 deposit. If you choose to pay the deposit, you will be emailed a receipt and information about the payment plan.
